  1. National Insurance Awareness Day is annually observed on 28 June to raise awareness about Insurance which offers a layer of protection to guard in various situations and about the benefits of investing in an insurance plan.
  2. World Allergy Week is an annual initiative of the World Allergy Organization (WAO) to create awareness about allergic diseases and related disorders. World Allergy Week 2023 was observed from 18 June to 24 June, 2023.  
  3. The Federation of Film Societies of India (Eastern Region), in collaboration with Social Sports foundation organised the first International Sports Film Festival at Nandan in Kolkata from 22-25 June, 2023.
  4. Mastercard CEO Michael Miebach has joined the Board of Directors of the US-India Strategic and Partnership Forum (USISPF).
  5. Indian Medical Association has selected Dr. K. Venugopal, chief consultant in respiratory medicine at General Hospital, Alappuzha (City in Kerala) for the Indian Medical Association (IMA) awards under the category of community service. He will receive the award at a function to be held at IMA headquarters in New Delhi on 1 July on the occassion of National Doctors’ Day.
  6. Union Minister for Steel and Civil Aviation, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, inaugurated the Silica Reduction Plant at Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL)’s Bhilai Steel Plant’s Dalli Mines.
  7. The Indian Economic Trade Organization (IETO) has recently announced the appointment of Nutan Roongta as the Director of the USA East Coast Chapter.
  8. The Indian Institute of Technology Madras, IIT-M has proposed a sports quota in IITs with an aim to boost diversity in the country’s premier engineering institutions and to provide an opportunity to students performing well in the field of sport at state, national and international levels, to study at the IITs.

  10. According to the World Economic Forum (WEF) report titled ‘Fostering Effective Energy Transition 2023’ published in collaboration with Accenture, India is ranked 67th on the Energy Transition Index (ETI) 2023.
  11. Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) has started exporting the world’s first Nano urea invented and manufactured indigenously in India to the United States.
  12. Indian Overseas Bank has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Tamil Nadu State rural Livelihood Mission (TNSRLM), to foster the growth of Self Help Groups in the State and provide them with vital financial support.  
  13. Skyroot Aerospace successfully conducted the flight qualification test of the Raman-I engine, which will be used for roll attitude control in the company’s under-development Vikram-I rocket.
